At the Big Data & AI show, the National Strategic Command Centre (“CNCS” in French) revealed one of the keys to success for the 2024 Olympic Games: an interdepartmental Hypervision platform designed with Suadeo. Objective: to modernize the information systems of the Ministry of the Interior, with an analysis of geolocation data, in real time, to accelerate and streamline strategic decision-making. A solution tested in real life during the Rugby World Cup. The Digital and Business Alliancy magazine reviews an 18-month project. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Excerpts from the article published on October 17, 2024 in the magazine Alliancy:<\/em> “Paris 2024: the National Strategic Command Center emerges victorious of the reputational war”<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n

“Proud of the success of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, members of the National Strategic Command Centre (CNCS) presented the recipe for this success at the Big Data & IA trade show in Paris on Wednesday, October 16. Key factors include close collaboration between stakeholders and increased consideration of business needs<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Behind the sporting achievements, popular celebration of the Olympic flame and the exceptional atmosphere during the Games was the work of the National Strategic Command Centre (NSCC). \u201cSince the arrival of the flame, we have lived this period like a four-month marathon at the speed of a sprint,\u201d says Christophe Deshayes<\/strong>, Chief of Staff at CNCS. But it was at the beginning of 2023 that the creation of this strategic data-based core, requested by the then Interior Minister G\u00e9rald Darmanin<\/strong>, was initiated. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cWe were going to test the platform for the Rugby World Cup in September 2023,\u201d says C\u00e9dric Bonamigo<\/strong>, public sector director at Suadeo<\/strong>. The software company was responsible for designing this interdepartmental collaboration platform<\/strong>. But it started from scratch<\/strong>. behind each function and application, there is a logical application on the software. \u201cEvery application must meet a business need,<\/strong>\u201d he continues. For NSCC (“CNCS” in French), digital translation involved breaking down silos by integrating departmental and Organizing Committee IAs to process a large amount of data and intercept weak signals <\/strong>before they hit networks and media. \u201cThis has profoundly changed the way interdepartmental coordination works<\/strong>,\u201d says the Chief of Staff. <\/p>\n\n

The Rugby World Cup as a sandbox<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

(…) For the CNCS, it has clearly acted as a laboratory. \u201cWe have made a significant feedback after the event to adapt needs and functionalities,\u201d says Christophe Deshayes. He emphasizes the evolution of business needs <\/strong>over the course of the 18 months <\/strong>of progress of the project. \u201cThey are constantly evolving. It is very important to listen to the evolution of the demand of the trades in order to adapt to it. \u201cThe Olympic Games are forty rugby world cups at the same time, and across the country,\u201d he concludes. <\/p>\n\n
