“15 million: this is the number of additional visitors who visited Paris during the entire period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, from 26 July to 11 August and 28 August to 8 September. A considerable human influx, which requires a well-organized by the authorities to avoid any overreach. This is the spirit in which the National Strategic Command Centre (NSCS), attached to the Ministry of the Interior, was created to monitor and ensure the smooth running of the Games. <\/p>\n\n

A platform designed in partnership with the DTNum<\/h2>\n\n

In parallel with the establishment of this centre, a new information system has been developed. \u201cThe Minister of the Interior wanted to provide this centre with a new digital ecosystem, led by the Digital Transformation Directorate (DTNum),<\/em>\u201d says Colonel Christophe Deshayes, CNCS chief of staff. We created everything from scratch<\/strong>, and the platform of Suadeo was chosen by DTNum to equip this centre.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Created in 2004, Suadeo offers its customers several solutions to better manage and secure their data, and especially to adapt their operations according to business needs. The company has therefore designed, in partnership with DTNum<\/strong>, a so-called \u201chypervision<\/strong>\u201d platform, built on its data services<\/strong> software solution. This tool has made it possible to highlight five business applications<\/strong>. Note that the tool was initially tested in September 2023, on the occasion of the Rugby World Cup<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Sharing of data between departments and geolocation tools<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
<\/div>\n\n

These applications allow, for example, to share data on the event in real time<\/strong> between departments, through forms and “mains courantes”. \u201cAs part of this handrail, everyone can enter their information,<\/em>\u201d continues the colonel. With a carto application<\/strong>, we can know very smoothly what is going on.<\/em>\u201d The platform also made it possible to facilitate HR management, particularly with regard to vacations: \u201cbetween 8 May and 8 September, more than 1,000 liaison officers<\/strong> have moved to the CNCS.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

Apart from these internal functionalities, Suadeo has made available on the software geolocated data, whether it is weather, traffic or various incidents. \u201cWe use all types of data, whether open or not<\/strong>,<\/em>\u201d notes C\u00e9dric Bonamigo, director of the Public Sector department at Suadeo. N we can integrate more than 300 connectors<\/strong>. Then all these data are requested in SQL <\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Get ahead of the game by peering into social media<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
<\/div>\n\n

Social media data is also closely scrutinized by the CNCS<\/strong>. The objective? Monitor the reputation of the event, so that it can happen before the \u201cbad buzz\u201d happens. \u201cToday, we are in a communicational war of time<\/em>,\u201d notes Colonel Christophe Deshayes. Our political authorities want to have the information 10 to 15 minutes before AFP<\/strong>. This dimension of reputation has been a cultural revolution for us, and the information system has helped us to take it into account better.\u201d <\/em>“<\/p>\n\n
