Our executive management and elected officials are deeply committed to involving all regional staff in this transformation. Data is for everyone: <em>departments, decision-makers, and citizens<\/em> \u00bb  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christophe Nicolle, Head of Data Governance, Analytics, and AI, Digital Transformation Department (DTN), Pays de la Loire Region<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>This commitment has led to the implementation of<strong> shared governance <\/strong>(<strong>Data Mesh<\/strong> structure), a r<strong>obust technical foundation <\/strong>built on <strong>Kubernetes<\/strong>, and a deeply collaborative approach.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Region chose Suadeo to industrialize data usage and secure decision-making processes while ensuring the <strong>sovereignty <\/strong>of its information.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u00ab The goal is to <strong>industrialize data usage<\/strong>, from day-to-day management within operational departments to the communications shared with citizens and local territories, all within a unified information system. <\/em> <em>Choosing <strong>sovereignty<\/strong> was also a strong political choice. The Suadeo platform meets our expectations for <strong>robustness <\/strong>and security. \u00bb <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industrializing data usage and empowering employees<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>With Suadeo, the Region\u2019s priority is to help its staff <strong>take ownership of data<\/strong>. Suadeo allowed us to build this shared data governance. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Olivier Guillon, Head of Data &amp; AI Division, DTN, R\u00e9gion Pays de la Loire<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Suadeo\u2019s Data Platform was deployed at the Region <strong>in 2022<\/strong>. Since then, business departments have been designing their own dashboards and using their data <strong>autonomously<\/strong> to better guide <strong>public policy decisions<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u00ab Today, our departments for <strong>Training<\/strong>, <strong>Transport<\/strong>, <strong>Real Estate Assets<\/strong>,<strong> Economy,<\/strong> and <strong>Research<\/strong> have built their own <strong>dashboards<\/strong> in Suadeo. They use them daily. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>To date, 60 dashboards already support elected officials and staff in their decisions, offering a <strong>consolidated view<\/strong> and <strong>real-time adjustment<\/strong> capabilities.<\/p>\n\n<p>The rollout is now <strong>expanding to all regional competences<\/strong>: <strong>Energy Transition<\/strong>, <strong>Education Guidance<\/strong>, <strong>Innovation<\/strong>, <strong>Land-Use Planning<\/strong>, and <strong>Civic Life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Democratizing data with secure Artificial Intelligence<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The new version currently being deployed, equipped with <strong>several AI modules developed by Suadeo<\/strong>, marks a turning point: it will strengthen employee autonomy and support decision-making. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;<em>After consolidating data quality and user adoption, we are now integrating the new Suadeo version, where AI serves data just as much as data serves AI,<\/em>\u201d explains <strong>Olivier Guillon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Generative and predictive, Suadeo AI will enable the Region to perform simulations and trend projections to anticipate the impacts of public policy decisions and adjust them as needed. All within a <strong>sovereign <\/strong>and secure environment. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;With Suadeo AI, we can now run <strong>simulations <\/strong>to test parameters, use <strong>forecasting<\/strong> to project trends, and measure impacts on public policy and services for citizens, ultimately <strong>enhancing decision support<\/strong>&#8220;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>A key feature of Suadeo AI is its <strong>on-premise deployment<\/strong>, hosted locally within the platform, requiring no internet data flow.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Moreover, Suadeo AI does not access data directly. It communicates with the data platform, ensuring <strong>data protection <\/strong>and compliance with <strong>governance<\/strong> and <strong>anonymization<\/strong> rules.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Finally, Suadeo AI is not a single intelligence but <strong>a suite of specialized AIs, each dedicated to a specific step<\/strong> in the data lifecycle: <strong>code<\/strong> generation and migration, <strong>data pipeline<\/strong> creation, <strong>querying<\/strong>, <strong>data lineage<\/strong>, <strong>dashboard<\/strong> generation, <strong>reporting<\/strong> interpretation, and action recommendations.<\/p>\n\n<p>This \u201c<strong>AI for All<\/strong>\u201d approach enables business users, data scientists, and security officers to collaborate within a <strong>unified environment<\/strong>, without compromising sovereignty or confidentiality.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019IA au service de la donn\u00e9e<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The Region pursues two main objectives: to improve public service quality through enhanced <strong>strategic decision-making<\/strong>, while ensuring full control, <strong>security<\/strong>, and <strong>ethical <\/strong>use of data. It&#8217;s about serving data and people.<\/em> In practice, at the <strong>Dataviz <\/strong>level, we can instantly regenerate a dashboard and respond to a specific request for a meeting happening in 15 minutes. We\u2019ve also started our first <strong>predictive projects<\/strong> with Suadeo, and the <strong>potential is already impressive.<\/strong><\/em> <\/em> <em>It\u2019s a true paradigm shift. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First use cases of Suadeo AI in the Region<\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The Pays de la Loire Region will rely on Suadeo\u2019s AI to improve citizens\u2019 quality of life in several areas: energy and infrastructure, education and training, transport, and more.<\/p>\n\n<p>AI will enable data cross-analysis with multidimensional factors (population growth, weather, cost evolution, etc.) to anticipate impacts and adjust action plans accordingly.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u00ab We are launching several projects with the platform\u2019s AI. For example, we will analyze energy consumption and anticipate expenses to manage resources more efficiently. Adjust transport offerings based on population inflows, estimate potential delays, predict bus flows, and optimize school routes. We\u2019ll also work on education and career guidance to anticipate future needs, such as where and when to build a new high school.
