The Self-BI Suadeo: an accelerator for State Administration projects
In 2024, Suadeo reached a major milestone by integrating the Interministerial Network of the State (RIE) through the deployment of its platform within the Pi Cloud at the Restricted Distribution level.
Cloud Pi, Késako ?
As part of its «Cloud at the center» doctrine, the French government has initiated several projects to strengthen the protection of sensitive data. Among them, the creation of an internal cloud reserved for state administrations and digital services handling sensitive data. One of its integrated offerings, Cloud Pi, is operated by the Ministry of the Interior and specially designed for the processing of Restricted Distribution (DR) level data.
The Suadeo platform meets the enhanced security requirements related to “DR” (restricted circulation) data processing. A considerable «Time To Market» accelerator for large or sensitive projects led by public and ministerial bodies.

the double guarantee of the Kubernetes architecture
Suadeo’s infrastructure uses Cloud Native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. The Kubernetes open source system ensures the stability of the platform in all circumstances, while maintaining its scalability. The continuous updating of the services is possible by minimizing the risk of incidents on the application and the impacts on the user experience.
Resolutely modern, Kubernetes is an open source system initially developed by Google and, now, by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). It enables orchestration of application resources and workloads. Docker technology allows you to containerize each integrated service within the platform. These micro-services thus have their own execution environment. Deployment, scaling, and management are automated.

Kubernetes automates container deployment, scaling, and management. Each container contains a specific application. Incremental updates and deployments are facilitated while maintaining application availability.
Scalability is horizontal and almost instantaneous. The changes made to each integrated service are made live and transparent for the active user: the deployment is almost immediate and without impact.

Applications are designed to be independent of the underlying infrastructure. Each integrated service can be easily relocated to any infrastructure.
Kubernetes offers high availability and disaster recovery capabilities, improving application reliability. In case of failure of one of the components, the risk of platform degradation is correspondingly reduced.

CI-CD Principle
The process «Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment» allows the continuous delivery of changes and improvements produced, in a secure way. Kubernetes complements the CI-CD principle by providing a robust and flexible platform that accelerates development cycles and updates.
A DevOps and SAFe logic
Kubernetes is closely linked to the DevOps approach, the principle of which is to foster close collaboration between the development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) teams. The advantage is to accelerate the development cycle, the quality and the evolutions of a software.
Similarly, the Kubernetes system echoes the SAFe project methodology that advocates the principles of proximity and agility. The «SAFe» support promotes the collaboration of the teams in small iteration, through 15-day Sprints, in order to improve the product with each delivery, and this continuously. This is the approach that Suadeo has chosen to accelerate the production of new projects and, in the long run, to provide even more value to its customers.
